You don't need a car here for most aspects of daily living. The Bay is a short walk away and the ocean is an easy bike ride. A shuttle bus that runs to Provincetown hourly in the summer for entertainment and shopping stops at nearby pond village- where there is a grocery store and a small restaurant/coffee shop. Pond Village is an easy bike ride or even a walk for those with a little more energy.
The bay beach is never crowded even on summer weekends. It would be unusual to be on the beach and be able to see more then 20 to 30 people as far as you can see in either direction- and you can see a long way. Kayaks and other small boats can be launched from the beach.
The development encloses a pond that is mostly surrounded by protected land and is a bird watcher's delight. Pamet harbor is a short drive away if you want to launch a larger boat.
